Movie recorded on the Island of Koh Phangan, during a two week trip to Thailand in June 2011. One of the highlights of any visit to Koh Phangan is the "Full Moon Party" that takes place each month on the crescent shaped beach at Haad Rin. If your visit to the Island happens to coincide with the date of the Full Moon, it's a simply must see travel experience!! This is a Movie in two parts : the first one shows my favourite hotel in Koh Phangan, the Haad Son Resort on the West Coast of the Island. about 20km's (30 mins drive} away from Haad Rin {in the far South}. This serves as a nice contrast to the hustle/bustle and crowds of Haad Rin and it's {rather infamous?!} Full Moon Party. To sum up : enjoyed both ... but couldn't do one without the 'antidote' of the other, lol!!

A Documentation of the Full Moon Party (September 2011) in Koh Phangan, Thailand. The Full Moon Party is much more than a party; it is a huge dance festival- People from all over the world come to join the celebration... There are 10000-30000 tourists at the party each month. The party begins at dusk, When the moon makes its appearance over the beach. As the evening progresses the beach explodes into a dancing frenzy with a lot of alcohol and fun. There is something for everyone here- trance, techno, dubstep, commercial dance and reggae- no one is disappointed.
